The venue
NYXĚ is a Mediterranean restaurant and bar on Barton Road in Worsley village, from the team behind Maturo. Meze to share, dishes from the grill, and show nights every Friday and Saturday. Guests come for a weekday early bird, a Saturday brunch or a late table on a show night, so the site has to say what is on today, not only what the restaurant is.
What Compera Digital built
Compera designed and built nyxe.co.uk from scratch, replacing a WordPress theme whose menus were pictures of the printed menus. All twelve menus are now on the page as text, with prices and dietary marks, transcribed from the restaurant’s own menus and checked line by line before launch. The PDFs are still there to download.
The Book button knows the time in Worsley. On a weekday afternoon it says the early bird runs until 6pm, on Saturday lunchtime that bottomless brunch runs until 3.30pm, in the evening that it is a show night, on Sunday that the roast is on.
Reservations and gift vouchers run through TableGo, developed by TableGo Ltd in partnership with Compera. Both sit on the site’s own pages, so a guest books a table or buys a voucher without being sent anywhere else.
The photographs are the restaurant’s own professional shoot, developed to one natural look. The site opens in the evening light of the dining room, with a daylight version a tap away. Every address from the old site, including the old menu PDFs, now points to its new page.
